Unstoppable Pain

everything can be fine on a nice day
when you get a wave in a most unpleasant way
and everything comes crashing down on you unexpectedly
and the beautiful day you look at sadly

the torment of you that lives on in my head
all your bullshit and the words that you said
still bother me even though now they shouldn't
I've tried to shake them out but I couldn't

some things really do just take time to heal
and staying calm is a trick at staying real
